How much of your story do the people closest to you really know?

For the last 15 years, I've worked as a funeral celebrant, sitting with families and listening to the stories of people's lives.

And there is one phrase I hear again and again:

    "I never knew that."

A story about how Mum and Dad really met.

Something Grandad did when he was young.

    A dream someone once had.

A difficult period they quietly overcame.

A completely ordinary memory that suddenly tells you everything about who that person was.

So much disappears simply because nobody ever thought to ask.

But writing your life story isn't only about leaving something behind.

There is something incredibly powerful about looking back at your own life and seeing the people, choices, turning points and experiences that made you who you are.

That is what we'll begin doing together in this free workshop.

You don't need to be a writer.

And you don't need to know anything about AI.

I'll show you how to use ChatGPT as a Story Partner — not to invent your story or write something that doesn't sound like you, but to ask better questions, help you remember, notice connections and begin shaping your own memories into something worth keeping.

    During the workshop, you'll:

    • discover why our stories matter — both to us and to the people who come after us
    • experience a guided memory exercise using ChatGPT
    • see how an ordinary memory can become a meaningful piece of writing
    • learn the difference between simply recording what happened and finding the story within a life
    • discover ways of creating something that feels manageable for the time you have available
    • hear how the Write Your Life Story in 30 Days Journey works

And you'll leave with three gifts

50 Questions Your Family Will One Day Wish They'd Asked You

Prompts to help uncover memories, stories and details that are surprisingly easy to lose.

    Your Life Map

A simple way of capturing the people, places, periods and turning points you may want to explore.

    The Memory-to-Story ChatGPT Prompt

A prompt you can keep using to turn your memories into richer conversations and written stories.

    Who is this for?

This workshop is for you if you've ever thought:

"One day, I really should write some of this down."

Perhaps you want to leave something meaningful for children or grandchildren.

Perhaps you've already started recording a few memories but never quite kept going.

Perhaps you don't want to write a traditional autobiography at all — you just want to preserve some of the things that matter.

Or perhaps you're curious about what you might discover by looking at your own life as a story.

    You don't need writing experience.

You don't need a paid ChatGPT account.

You just need to have lived a life.

    About Grace

I'm Grace Farrelly, founder of Heart to Art.

For around 15 years, I've worked as a funeral celebrant, helping families gather a lifetime of memories and turn them into a story that captures who somebody really was.

I've seen again and again how much meaning can emerge when we stop looking only at dates and events and start asking better questions.

I've also seen, through fostering and life-story work, how powerful it can be to look back at our own experiences and begin to understand the narrative running through them.

I created Write Your Life Story in 30 Days because I believe we shouldn't have to wait until somebody has gone before their story is gathered together.
